Using The
Database
When you access the
database, you will be presented with a login screen. The
login function serves both to allow only authorized users
access to your database, and to identify to the program
the authorization level of a given user. For example,
while all your employees may be able to view or add work
orders, you may only want your officers or managers to be
able to approve work and close a work order.
Based on a users
authorization level, the options available are always
located at the bottom of the screen. These can include
Add, Modify, Delete, View/Search, and Administer.
Selecting any of these options takes you to the
appropriate screen. All you need to do then is fill in
the blanks!
When you create a new
work order request, the information recorded is
automatically emailed to the appropriate people. For
instance, you may want all vehicle repair work orders to
automatically be emailed to your Fleet Service Manager
for proper action, while repair work order requests for
hand tools are directed elsewhere.
Try
It!
Rather than trying to
imagine how the Work Order Database Manager looks and
feels why not try it for yourself!
